Cherie has been part of the  eastern coastal bayside suburbs of the City of Brisbane community since 1995, back when there were strawberry farms, golf driving ranges and the Edgell factory plus an abundance of horses in suburban paddocks.

She has seen first-hand the changing face of the bayside as it has come to life with purpose-built residential properties, cafes, restaurants, new shopping centres, schools and a new movie theatre.
